iPad 3 CPU, the A5X

iPad 3 processor is the upgraded A5, not the A6 as previously thought.

A leaked picture from the Chinese factory manufacturing the new CPU shows a logic board for Apple's next-generation iPad shows a system-on-a-chip labelled A5X rather than the "A6" processor that has long been talked about.

The name A5X could implies the next iPad 3 motherboard CPU processor is a more powerful version of the existing A5 chip found in the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, rather than an overhauled next-generation "A6" processor.

Another photograph from a purported iPad 3 parts plant shows what appears to be a production line for the new retina display for the tablet.

The specifications already in the public domain appears to show the iPad 3 as not too different from its predecessor.

Apple iPad 3 tablet to be launched March 7

The new iPad 3 tablet from Apple will have a thinner and more streamlined style, and it will be lighter too, making it smaller than its predecessor, the ubiquitous iPad 2.

With 2048 x 1536 display plus full support touch-screen HD, the iPad 3 will have technology that will enable wireless charging for the battery and also for data transfer.

The new iPad3 will run on an A6 Quad-core Processor, comparable to any high-end home computer.

The A6 quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 from Qualcomm will have these MSM8960 A15-class brand running at 1.7GHz.

The iPad 3 will be launched on March 7, 2012 according to reliable sources.

Other features of the tablet include Retina Display outside Apple's own iOS 5 operating system.

Apple website refers to the Retina Display thus: “Developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide, The Apple company designers were able to load up four times the number of pixel into the same 3.5-inch display found on previous iPhone designs.”

The iPad 3 from Apple will also come with an enhanced camera, since the tablet’s previous version was not that impressive. As opposed to the iPad2, the new product will come with LED flash to support the camera. It is predicted to have a 5MP camera with 1080p or 720p video producing quality of 60 frames per second.

Patents have been granted to the company for a fingerprint proofing technology, as Apple tries to make the iPad3 fingerprint proof. The touch-screen technology will be protected with oleophobic components, which will decrease the oil and prints on screen.

Expectations were high that the new iPad camera will be 13MP, but news emerging indicate 8 megapixel as the most likely sensor on the device.

Mombasa Republican Council, MRC, demand recognition

The Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) have brought coast land problem to the limelight after boldly stating they want out of Kenya and form a new country, probably called Pwani.

Coast province is unique in that most people live on land they don't own and have no clue who the real owner of the property is.
Now Muslim leaders at the Coast have asked the government to engage the Mombasa Republican Council in dialogue, supposedly after the government removes the group from list of banned organizations that include the mungiki and kamjeshi.

In its manifesto, the Mombasa Republican Council proclaims that their country (Coast province) has become a field for Kenyans to steal their wealth and demands the removal of Kenya’s administration and with the end result being an independent country with Mombasa as the capital city.

The major grievances that gave rise to the MRC are land matters, employment opportunities and generally poor economic situation. Many native Mombasa and Coast residents decry the fact that the major industries there including tourism and farming are dominated by upcountry Kenyans (Wabara) or foreigners.

Any group or organization that has many members will naturally attract support from leading politicians. If the MRC recruits vigorously, they will get political support from well established parties and their demands might be met half-way.
Secession is a long short, but some form of land redistribution in the coast region is a possibility.
